Tasting Notes Of The Curator
The Red Salanova Frisée Lettuce is an instant eye-catcher. Its finely ruffled leaves form a loose, frilly crown, their deep red edges fading into a soft green center. This visual drama is matched by its flavor—a crisp bite with a gentle bitterness that awakens the palate, balanced by a subtle sweetness at the core. The texture is light yet structured, making it perfect for adding height and movement to plated dishes. Whether used in salads or as a garnish, its distinctive look enhances presentation while its taste provides contrast to rich or creamy elements. Grown in Hijo Fresh’s controlled greenhouse environments, each head is cultivated under optimal conditions to ensure color intensity, flavor consistency, and year-round availability. The result is a premium lettuce variety that bridges beauty and function with every leaf.
