Your information, treated with care

Privacy Policy

A plain account of what we collect, why we need it, who helps us process it, and the choices you have.

This policy applies to The Bow Tie Duck website, customer accounts, orders, support, newsletters, and the services connected to them.

Information we collect

We collect what we need to run the store, fulfil orders, and improve your experience.

You may browse the website without creating an account. When you register, order, subscribe, contact us, or use a service, you may voluntarily provide information such as your name, email address, telephone number, billing and delivery address, gift recipient details, preferences, and correspondence.

We also receive order information, selected products, delivery instructions, transaction status, and account activity. Payment-card details are handled by our payment providers and are not stored by The Bow Tie Duck after a transaction is completed.

Technical data and cookies

A small amount of technical information keeps the website secure and remembers useful choices.

When you use the website, servers and analytics tools may record your browser, device type, operating system, approximate location, IP address, referring page, pages viewed, and interaction or diagnostic events.

Cookies and similar storage help keep you signed in, preserve your basket, remember preferences, measure performance, and protect the service from abuse. You can restrict cookies in your browser, but essential shopping and checkout features may stop working correctly.

How we use information

Every use should have a practical reason connected to your relationship with us.

  • Create and maintain your account, basket, wishlist, addresses, and preferences.
  • Process payments, fulfil orders, coordinate delivery, and send transactional updates.
  • Respond to support requests, returns, product concerns, and service inquiries.
  • Personalize recommendations and understand, in aggregate, how customers use the website.
  • Send newsletters or offers when you have asked to receive them; you can unsubscribe at any time.
  • Prevent fraud, secure accounts, enforce our terms, and meet legal or regulatory duties.

When information is shared

We do not sell personal information.

We share only the information needed by trusted service providers that help operate the store—for example payment processors, delivery partners, hosting and security providers, customer-support tools, communications platforms, and professional advisers. They may use it only for the contracted service and subject to appropriate safeguards.

We may also disclose information where required by law, to respond to a valid government request, to protect a person from harm, to investigate fraud, or in connection with a legitimate corporate transaction. Aggregated or de-identified information may be used for analysis because it does not identify an individual.

Security and payment protection

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards suited to the information we hold.

Access to personal information is limited to people and systems that need it for their work. We use secure connections, access controls, monitoring, and reputable payment providers to reduce the risk of unauthorized access, loss, or misuse.

No online service can promise absolute security. Please use a unique password, protect your sign-in method, and contact us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.

How long we keep information

We keep information only for as long as the purpose, law, or legitimate business need requires.

Retention periods differ by record. Order and accounting information may be kept to meet tax, audit, consumer-protection, and dispute-resolution duties. Account and support data is retained while the relationship remains active and for a reasonable period afterward. When information is no longer needed, we delete, anonymize, or securely isolate it.

Your choices and rights

You can ask what we hold, correct it, or raise a concern.

Subject to applicable law, including the Philippine Data Privacy Act of 2012, you may request access to or correction of personal information, object to or restrict certain processing, withdraw consent, request deletion where appropriate, or ask for a portable copy of information you provided.

You may unsubscribe from marketing using the link in an email. Transactional messages about an active account or order may still be sent. To exercise a privacy right, write to hello@bowtieduck.com. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.

Children and age-restricted products

The store is not directed to children purchasing independently.

A minor should use the service only with a parent or legal guardian. We do not knowingly invite children to provide personal information without appropriate consent. Age verification may be required for alcohol and other restricted items.

Policy changes and contact

The version published here is the current policy.

We may revise this policy when our services, providers, or legal obligations change. Material changes will be communicated in an appropriate way, and the updated version will be published on this page.
