Three ways to begin

Choose Délice de St Cyr for soft, buttery richness; 24-month Gouda for a firm, nutty bite; or Roquefort when you love a full-flavoured blue. One cheese is enough for a quiet evening, or choose contrasting styles for a board.

Good company for good cheese

With something creamy: serve Délice de St Cyr on baguette or lightly toasted brioche. Add pear slices for a fresh contrast.

With something aged: put crisp apple, pear or toasted walnuts beside the 24-month Gouda. Break the cheese into small pieces to enjoy its firm texture.

With something blue: try a little Roquefort with pear, walnuts or a drizzle of honey. Let the cheese set the pace; a small piece has plenty of character.

For the goat’s cheeses, keep it simple: crusty bread, crisp fruit and a little honey. These are serving suggestions; accompaniments are not included with the cheese.

How much cheese should I choose?

As a practical tasting guide, allow about 30–40g of each cheese per person when serving three cheeses alongside other food: roughly 90–120g of cheese per guest. Increase or reduce this to suit the occasion and appetite.

For a simple one-cheese tasting, a 200g Délice de St Cyr gives five portions of about 40g. The available cut sizes are shown on each product; you do not need to buy every cheese on this page.

Check each product’s storage instructions, expiry date and delivery options. Keep cheese refrigerated until you are ready to prepare your table.

The affineur’s touch

Making a cheese and maturing it are different crafts. Affinage is the careful work of guiding cheese as its texture, aroma and flavour develop.

The Mons selection brings that attention to your table. Choose by the experience you want: the softness of a triple-cream cheese, the firm bite of an aged Gouda, or the depth of a blue. A good cheese board begins with curiosity, not a long shopping list.
