Glenelly Le Rosé de May

The Glenelly Le Rosé De May is a made with 100% Syrah grapes that are whole bunch pressed gently at low pressure. This helps it achieve a lighter color. It is then transferred to stainless steel fermenters. No Sulphur was added during the winemaking process, as well, allowing for a cleaner, more transparent flavors—a more natural wine.

This rosé has an ABV of 13.5%, and has a vibrant mouthfeel and a beautiful balance. On the nose, you get fresh wild strawberries, cranberries, and sweet spice. And on the palate, a burst of pomegranate, and a long finish.

Pair the Glenelly Le Rosé De May with a chicken or salmon salad, cheeses like Feta or Halloumi, and tapenades. It goes well with light meals like ceviche, sushi, or Vietnamese spring rolls. If you want to have it with something heavier, rosé balances out an oil-based shellfish pasta wonderfully.

Glenelly is owned by May de Lencquesaing, who also owns Château Pichon Longueville Comtesse de Lalande, a famous Grand Cru Classé from Bordeaux, France. She purchased this South African estate in 2003, at the age of 78. She replaced the existing fruit trees with vines, and set out to utilize the microclimate and the soils of the valley to its best. Glenelly Estate stands now, a thriving winery, supporting the local economy and communities.

Store your unopened bottle in a cool, dry, and dark place safe from constant vibration. Keep your bottle horizontal in a wine rack or cellar to retain the moistness of the cork. The ideal temperature for storage is between 7 to 15°C. Once opened, a bottle will be good for 5 to 7 days standing upright in the refrigerator.
