About

wines for every table

Start with the wine style

Browse red wines for everything from lighter, fruit-led bottles to fuller-bodied styles; white wines for fresh aperitifs and richer food pairings; and rosé wines for another way to explore red-fruit character. Choose Champagne and sparkling wine when you want bubbles, or explore our organic wine selection and check each bottle's details.

Choose by taste, not colour alone

Body describes how light or full a wine feels. Tannins create the drying sensation found in many reds, while acidity gives freshness. Sweetness is a separate choice: a wine can smell fruity and still taste dry. Read the individual bottle's notes rather than assuming all wines from one grape taste alike.

For a lighter red, compare Pinot Noir bottles such as Allan Scott Pinot Noir. If you prefer a fuller red, compare Cabernet Sauvignon and blends. With whites, Sauvignon Blanc is a useful starting point for fresh, aromatic styles; Chardonnay offers a range from lean and lively to rounder, oak-influenced bottles.

A bottle for the occasion and your budget

For an everyday meal, start with the food and the price you are comfortable paying. For a dinner party, consider whether one versatile style will suit the menu or whether a red and a white would give guests more choice. When choosing a gift, a familiar grape or producer can be more thoughtful than simply selecting the highest price.

Collectors can compare producer, region and the vintage listed on each product. Higher price does not automatically mean a better match for your meal. Compare current bottle prices in the selection above; availability and vintages vary by product.

Match the wine to the food

Consider the sauce and cooking method as well as the main ingredient. Fuller reds can accompany steaks, while fresher whites work well with simply prepared seafood. For a cheese board, choose according to the cheeses' intensity. Dry sparkling wine is also worth considering with caviar or oysters.

Shop by grape and country

For reds, compare Pinot Noir, Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah or Shiraz. For whites, explore Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc and Riesling, checking each bottle's sweetness and tasting notes.

Browse French wines or Italian wines when you have a country in mind. Grape and geography are complementary ways to choose.

Compare bottles at different price points

Explore Le Fou Pinot Noir for a red, Change Chardonnay by Gérard Bertrand for a white, or Bohigas Brut Reserva Cava for bubbles. Compare these with the wider selection's current prices and notes; a higher price does not by itself make a bottle a better match.
