The Arzuaga Ribera del Duero Rosae is made with pure Tempranillo grapes that were grown on 25-year-old vines on the winery’s La Planta estate. It has an ABV of 13.2%, and is a clean and bright pale salmon color. It’s very aromatic, with noticeable notes of strawberry and raspberry, and hints of citrus and passionfruit. On the palate, it’s fresh and bright, with finishing flavors of compote cherries.
The Arzuaga Ribera del Duero Rosae is great to pair with cheeses like feta, mozzarella, or young cheddar. It goes great with light fare; try it with Japanese food like sushi, sashimi, and tempura. It will also be brilliant with seafood dishes, especially ones with sauce.
Found in Valladolid, in the heart of the Ribera del Duero Denomination of Origin in Spain, Bodegas Arzuaga is owned by the Arzuaga Navarro family. It was Don Florentino Arzuaga, in the 1990s, that began this prodigious winery. A lifelong lover of wine, he purchased the La Planta estate, and planted the vines that would bear the fruit of the winery’s passion. The estate itself has the fortune to receive ample sunlight, and the right humidity for the perfect ripening of the fruit. The flora and fauna coexist peacefully in La Planta, and contributes greatly to passion and love the Arzuaga family put into their wines.
