Counted in the top 1% of wines in the world, the Arzuaga Reserva Ribera del Duero exudes a beautiful ruby red color. Made from the oldest vines on Bodegas Arzuaga’s La Planta estate, it’s very well-balanced, with a great structure.
It has a beautiful elegance on the nose, with toasty and spicy notes. It has aromas of cherry, smoky oak, vanilla bean, and ripe red fruits. On the palate, it gives flavor notes of baked fruit, cherry, and roasted walnuts.
Have a glass of this Arzuaga Reserva with your tapas, with a spread of salami, chistorra, or chorizo. It’s also great with foie gras (and luckily, we have a wonderful selection). It’s a perfect pairing for red meat—a grilled or roasted lamb or steak. Roast or grilled aubergine, mushroom, eggplant, or squash are also brilliant choices if you’re not into the red meat.
Have a dark chocolate lava cake, or a dark chocolate brownie with a glass of this red for dessert. We suggest pairing it with the Dalawang Milkmen Choco Mousse—delicious!
Found in Valladolid, in the heart of the Ribera del Duero Denomination of Origin in Spain, Bodegas Arzuaga is owned by the Arzuaga Navarro family. It was Don Florentino Arzuaga, in the 1990s, that began this prodigious winery. A lifelong lover of wine, he purchased the La Planta estate, and planted the vines that would bear the fruit of the winery’s passion. The estate itself has the fortune to receive ample sunlight, and the right humidity for the perfect ripening of the fruit. The flora and fauna coexist peacefully in La Planta, and contributes greatly to passion and love the Arzuaga family put into their wines.
Store unopened red wines in a cool, dry, and dark place safe from constant vibration. Keep your bottle horizontal in a wine rack or cellar to retain the moistness of the cork. The ideal temperature for storage is between 16 to 18°C. Once opened, a bottle will be good for 3 to 5 days standing upright in the refrigerator.
