The Luis Seabra Xisto Ilimitado is a great wine to pair with cured meats and cheeses for starters. It’s also a wonderful drink to enjoy with ratatouille, grilled chicken, or roast duck.
Luis Seabra is oft referred to as a star of the “new Portugal” when it comes to wines. He made his name as a winemaker for Niepoort, creating some of the best wines to come out of Duoro and Porto. But in 2013, he decided to go off on his own, therefore making his eponymous winery, making wines he wanted to make. Sourcing grapes from Duoro’s and Vinho Verde’s top vineyards, he has a minimal-intervention approach that yields terroir-driven wines, ones that express all the authenticity of its regions.
Store unopened red wines in a cool, dry, and dark place safe from constant vibration. Keep your bottle horizontal in a wine rack or cellar to retain the moistness of the cork. The ideal temperature for storage is between 16 to 18°C. Once opened, a bottle will be good for 3 to 5 days standing upright in the refrigerator.
