4.1
Fermented and aged for 22 months in French oak barrels, the Pandolfi Price Los Patricios Chardonnay is as pure a Chardonnay as you can get.
It has a beautifully bright golden color with green hues, and is fresh and elegant on the whole. Attractive on the nose, it gives complex aromas of citrus. It’s equally elegant on the palate, smooth and buttery, with notes of dry fruit, minerals, honey, and hazelnut.
Pair this smooth white with nutty cheeses like cheddar, or baguette slices spread with fig chutney and honey. It’s delicious to have for brunch, with an Eggs Benedict. It also shines incredibly well when paired with rich fish dishes, like ceviche, seared tuna, or poached salmon with a creamy sauce. Shellfish is also a great choice—enjoy it with steamed lobster with a lemon butter sauce, or a nice scallop pasta, or shrimp scampi.
Pandolfi Price is a relatively young winery, with its beginnings dating back only to 2002. The family arrived on the banks of the Larqui, to a vineyard called Santa Ines, which had Chardonnay planted in 1992. The potential was too great, and thus began a winery that has slowly but surely made a name for itself.
Pandolfi Price is a winery that values the environment and the grape, giving full respect and dignity to everything it offers, and letting it show its best and most pure attributes. With wines that showcase the full character of the Itata Valley, and boasting of all the potential South Chilean wines can bring, Pandolfi Price is sure to keep climbing.
Store your unopened bottle in a cool, dry, and dark place safe from constant vibration. Keep your bottle horizontal in a wine rack or cellar to retain the moistness of the cork. The ideal temperature for storage is between 7 to 15°C. Once opened, a bottle will be good for 3 to 5 days standing upright in the refrigerator.
