A carefully crafted ice cream base that is rich and creamy is Kurīmu’s signature. This one comes in a cool-looking gray color, owing to the black sesame seeds that are toasted and hand-pounded by the team themselves.
Smooth and delightful, it has a complex roasted nutty flavor, with some wonderfully deep earthy notes.

It’s tempting to eat Kurīmu Ice Cream straight out of the tub, and we wouldn’t blame you if you did!
If you’re looking to add a little extra to your Black Sesame ice cream, though, you can dress it up by drizzling some maple syrup or Nutella on top.
A VERSATILE HEALTH FOOD
Black sesame is a common ingredient found across Asia, and getting increasingly popular around the world. It’s found in the Japanese spice mix, furikake, and in Indian sweets like chikki. Its powdered form also finds itself coating mochi (Japanese rice cakes), and injeolmi (Korean rice cakes). In steamed dessert baos, it’s found in paste form.
But black sesame also has a number of great health benefits. It’s rich in antioxidants and macronutrients, like calcium and magnesium. It also helps lower blood pressure, boosts metabolism, and aids in the circulation of oxygen in your body.
Storage Instructions
Kurīmu Ice Cream is freshly churned daily, and contains no preservatives. Keep it fresh by storing it at the back of your freezer (where it is coldest), and making sure the lid is tightly shut, to prevent moisture and other contaminants from getting in. It is best consumed within 2-3 months.
