Tasting Notes For The Curator
This 2016 Heritage Reserve Chardonnay opens with floral aromas of orange blossom and green fig with herbaceous undertones. Tropical flavors of papaya and mango blend with luscious vanilla and a touch of lemongrass, leading to a round mouth feel and well balanced wine.
Pairings
Try this with steamed fish or shellfish accompanied by spring vegetables or a light crab salad. You may also pair it with crumbly cheeses like Halloumi and Feta as well as delicate buttery cheeses like Camembert, Burratina and Epoisses.
Golden Heritage
The DeLoach Heritage Reserve designation are reserved for only California Appellation wines carried by the vineyard. The work that they put into making every Heritage Reserve Chardonnay bottle reflects DeLoach’s commitment to showcase the Golden State’s sun-drenched terroir and the beauty it offers. Grapes are fermented in stainless steel to preserve the natural crispness and fresh fruit flavors.A small amount of richly textured barrel-fermented Chardonnay is then blended in to attain the beautiful balance of this approachable, fruit-forward wine that is appealing both at the dinner table and al fresco.
This 2016 Vintage Chardonnay has also won a number of awards and recognition, putting this gem at an elevated pedestal. Gold at San Diego International Wine & Spirits Challenge 2018, Gold at Sakura Japan Women’s Wine Awards 2018 and 91/100 points from Planet Grape for 2016.
