The Hand-Carved Jamon Gran Reserva from Joselito contains no additives and no preservatives. It’s naturally cured for more than 36 months, and gives a glossy appearance with a color that ranges from pale pink to purple red. It has a beautiful fine marbling of fat that makes it very juicy and aromatic. The flesh is delicate and creamy, with a melt-in-your-mouth consistency. The flavor is incomparable—nuanced, intense, and lingering.
This classic Iberian ham is sweet and sublime, and because it is hand-carved, makes it a perfect addition to your charcuteries. You can also use them in sandwiches, if you wish, or as appetizers, on small pieces of crusty bread, paired with a slice of Manchego. For wines, heavy ones will overpower the delicate ham, so stick to young reds, or a dry, light white.
Dubbed “the rebel” of the Spanish ham world, Joselito was founded by Vicente Gomez in 1898, and created it as a family business. Using only the most natural of processes, and 100% Iberian pigs, it has been declared the best ham in the world. In fact, it’s sometimes described as the Dom Perignon of Iberian cured meats.
A century and six generations later, Joselito has become a beacon of quality, and is acclaimed by the biggest names in gastronomy, and lauded by food critics worldwide.
Vacuum-sealed packs of hand-carved cured meats can last up to five months in the refrigerator (never the freezer). Once the pack is opened, they’re best enjoyed within the day.
