The Knolive Epicure Olive Oil was ranked the Best Extra Virgin Olive Oil in the World in 2018 by the EVOO World Ranking. It is 100% pure and natural, with a blend of Hojiblanco and Picudo olive varieties that are hand-picked, and exclusively cold extracted. These olives are carefully selected when young, from ancient trees that grow in the Sierra Subbetica National Park in Priego de Cordoba, Andalusia.
This unfiltered Spanish Extra Virgin Olive Oil has fruit explosions that are tastefully matched by its fragrant intensity. It has a rich green color with delicate gold overtones, and aromas of apple and juicy green olives. On the palate, you get the delicate taste of tomato leaf, newly cut grass, and young almonds, with a touch of sharpness and a delightful suggestion of white pepper, perfumed and fragrant.
Extra virgin olive oil is a versatile ingredient that may be used to improve a number of meals. Dress salads, pastas, and vegetables with it. You may use it as a salad dressing or make a simple and classic bread dip with it and a few dashes of balsamic vinegar.
Knolive’s olive groves are located in the middle of the Subbética National Park, a sea of ancient olive trees that surrounds La Tiñosa, the province of Córdoba’s highest peak. Picuda and Hojiblanca are the most common olive varieties, and harvesting is done by hand because automated harvesting is nearly impossible on such hilly terrain.
Olive oil should be stored in a cool, dry, dark cupboard, away from the heat and light. Choose a spot in the kitchen that’s away from the oven. The best temperature for storing oil is from 13 to 21°C.
