The Reveur Artisan by Vignoble du Rêveur is a Biodynamic wine made with Gewurztraminer and Pinot Gris grapes, fermented and aged in stainless steel for 12 months. This blend from AOC Alsace appellation has a hazy peach-orange color, and ABV of roughly 14%. It is an aromatic wine, with floral notes and hints of exotic fruit. On the palate, it is juicy and dense, with notes of apricot blossoms, rose petals, papaya, and citrus, and a gently spiced finish.
The Reveur Artisan is great with cured meats and cheeses. It’s great with very savory, hearty foods, like Italian sausages, roast pork, or a beef stew.
Mathieu Deiss grew up (and is still) part of Domaine Marcel Deiss, his father’s family domaine. And while he loves working on the vines and cellars of his family winery, he wanted something that was more of his own. In 2013, he and his partner, Emmanuelle Milan, decided to found Vignoble du Rêveur. He was left seven hectares by his uncle and grandfather, and in 2016, he took all that on, using his own know-how to create wines the way he wants. He decided to go back to the most traditional of methods—organic and biodynamic agriculture. Inspired by his maternal grandfather who fought for his own independence, Vignoble du Rêveur is Mathieu’s way of honoring that drive. Dreaming and building without limits, breaking rules, and loving the work.
Store your unopened bottle in a cool, dry, and dark place safe from constant vibration. Keep your bottle horizontal in a wine rack or cellar to retain the moistness of the cork. The ideal temperature for storage is between 7 to 15°C. Once opened, a bottle will be good for 3 to 5 days standing upright in the refrigerator.
