The Manuka Honey UMF 20+ is Comvita’s rarest and most premium honey. It’s not only delicious, but is also filled with great benefits for your body.


A super food, Manuka Honey is made from the nectar of Manuka flowers from New Zealand. This is Comvita’s most premium honey, with the highest UMF grade, which means it has the highest concentration of the three main beneficial compounds (MGO, DHA, and Leptosperin). It’s also filled with prebiotics and amino acids.

Comvita Manuka Honey UMF 20+ is unpasteurized and raw, as well as being non-GMO project verified, and gluten-free. It’s creamy and rich, with a sweet and complex flavor, and a smooth texture.

Real Manuka Honey comes from the Manuka flower, a blossom native to New Zealand. It blooms for only two to six weeks a year, making it pretty rare. The UMF (Unique Manuka Factor) Honey Association ensures quality and purity, and rates Manuka Honey according to its unique signature compounds. The three key compounds are DHA, Leptosperin, and MGO (Methylglyoxal), and the rating goes up according to increasing amounts of MGO.

Comvita was founded in 1974, by Claude Stratford and Alan Bougen, who, by then, already had over 50 years of beekeeping experience under their belts. Their honey comes from hives found in areas abundant with native Manuka flowers, and they practice sustainable methods to preserve and honor Manuka Honey at its purest, with great respect to nature. Comvita offers honey of grades 5+, 10+, 15+, 18+, and 20+, and the higher the number, the more medicinal properties it has.

Storage Instructions

Store your Manuka Honey in a cupboard or cabinet away from direct heat and sunlight. Use completely dry utensils when scooping honey out to keep moisture from entering the bottle. Keep the container tightly sealed when storing. Crystallization will naturally occur in honey at cooler temperatures; it does not mean it is spoiled. Simply sit your container of honey in warm (not hot!) water, around 48C or lower for a short time. Stored properly, and kept away from heat and sunlight, honey will last indefinitely.
