The Bubu Bars You Little Monkey is a vegan ice cream blended with perfectly caramelized roasted bananas. This ice cream bar is then coated in a shell of Auro 55% single origin dark chocolate, and topped with a combination of toasted almonds and Biscoff crumble.

It’s a creamy ice cream, with a very pronounced banana flavor. This banana flavor is complemented wonderfully by the dark chocolate, and the crumble adds a welcome texture. You Little Monkey is 100% plant-based and dairy-free.

Bubu Bars, like many new small businesses, is a pandemic baby. Ria Soriano worked in retail for over 12 years, and has been making homemade ice cream since 2017 as a fun little hobby. When the pandemic happened, work, which used to be very busy, suddenly slowed down significantly. Her husband, Jake, encouraged her to focus on her passion project, to get back to the creativity she found while making ice cream. So, in 2020, she went full-time ice cream maker.

Ria and Jake originally planned to sell homemade dairy ice cream, but in the process of researching and developing, they discovered that they were both lactose intolerant. The project immediately shifted. They had to adjust their diets and their lifestyles, but dessert, especially ice cream, was not something they wanted to compromise on. So, with meticulous research and a lot of determination, they created Bubu Bars. Vegan, plant-based, and dairy-free, their ice creams are all made from scratch, and made by hand, using locally sourced raw ingredients. Their aim is to offer ice cream that will be enjoyed by everyone; delicious treats that are healthy, without compromising on the deliciousness.

Storage Instructions

Store ice cream in the main part of the freezer. Do not store ice cream in the freezer door, where ice cream can be subject to more fluctuating temperatures since the door is repeatedly open and shut. Consume within 3 months.
