When luxury food is done this well, there’s very little extra that needs to be done to it. It’s a guilty pleasure to eat it straight from the tub. As no cooking is required, indeed, it’s best served as it is. This crabmeat comes from crab muscles of exclusively, Blue Swimming Crabs that come from the Philippine seas. It is pasteurized and safe to eat as soon as you pop open the tub. Taste is light and fresh and requires no added seasoning shall you want to enjoy straight.

Pairings

If you can resist eating it straight from the tub, it can be added to salads, or used as the crab meat required to make crab cakes. A personal favorite of The Bow Tie Duck is keeping it simple. Add the chunks of the Jumpo Lump Crabmeat with avocado slices and a light vinaigrette made of lime, coriander and a light olive oil.

For wine pairings, this delectable crab meat makes a great partner to the cirtus-fruit forward and buttery flavors of Ramón Bilbao Sauvignon Blanc 2018, Rueda or the crisp and fresh Mar de Frades Albarino Atlantico Rias Baixas 2019 boasting of lime, orange and balsamic nuances.
