The Arnaud Lambert Clos Midi is made with 100% Chenin Blanc grapes taken from 40-year-old vines. They’re aged both in stainless steel and old French oak barrels. With a golden color, this Biodynamic white wine has medium body and an ABV of 13%. It’s fresh on both the nose and palate, with notes of citrus, honey, stone fruit, and hints of herbal tea.
Pair the Clos Midi from Domaine Arnaud Lambert with mild and soft cheeses, or goat cheese. It’s also great with salads, baked salmon, pike with a butter sauce, tuna, sushi, and other seafood dishes.
Yves Lambert created Domaine de Saint-Just at the age of 47, when he decided to return to his roots, to Saumur. That was 1996, and his son, Arnaud, joined him in 2005. But in 2011, Yves Lambert succumbed to a quick and aggressive cancer; it was a shock to everyone. So Arnaud took on the reins of the domaine himself, merging with the historic Saumur estate, Château de Brézé, in 2017. This merger resulted in Domaine Arnaud Lambert—new in name, but not in experience. They eventually adopted a biodynamic approach to their wines, creating greater understanding and providing more care and appreciation to their terroirs. The Lamberts were not born vignerons, and perhaps this is their advantage. Unencumbered of traditional restrictions, they are able to experiment and appreciate their work and their wines more freely.
Store your unopened bottle in a cool, dry, and dark place safe from constant vibration. Keep your bottle horizontal in a wine rack or cellar to retain the moistness of the cork. The ideal temperature for storage is between 7 to 15°C. Once opened, a bottle will be good for 3 to 5 days standing upright in the refrigerator.
