Bordier Yuzu is Inspired by a trip to Japan by the Jean-Yves bordier himself. He wanted to blend yuzu with slightly salted butter. The result of this harmony is truly remarkable. This butter is a fixator of flavors which really brings out the delicious taste of the Yuzu and is perfect for a cuisine full of sunshine providing verticality, elegance and freshness to the dish it accompanies.
Borider Yuzu is cross between a wild mandarin orange and a lemon, folded into lightly salted butter. Elegant and fresh, it provides a marvelous bittersweet coating for a baked cod fillet en papillote. On a slice of bread, it can’t be beat with a lovely strawberry jam.
Refrigerate your butter immediately after it arrives, leaving it in its original wrapper. The foil/paper helps prevent spoilage that may result from exposure to light and air, as well as offering protection from the aromas and flavors of other foods in the refrigerator. Once opened, it has 5 weeks shelf life in the refrigerator. This period can be prolonged by freezing.
