Pinkie's Farm Low Fat Greek Yogurt
Twice as good
Made of yogurt cultures, and pasteurized milk from grass-fed cows, this low-fat Greek yogurt from single-origin dairy, Pinkie’s Farm, is an even healthier version of the already-healthy Greek yogurt.
TASTING NOTES FROM THE CURATOR
With a velvety texture, and a thick and creamy consistency, Pinkie’s Farm Unsweetened Greek Yogurt has that tangy, tart flavor, indicative of Greek yogurts. It’s low in fat, and contains no added sugars, making it a perfect healthy snack.
PREPARATION AND PAIRINGS
Make a quick, simple, and delicious breakfast with Pinkie’s Farm Low Fat Unsweetened Greek Yogurt by adding granola and your choice of fruit. It goes so well with sweet options, like strawberries, and mangoes. If you want an even simpler snack, a drizzle of honey on plain Greek yogurt is incredible. You can also use it when you make chicken or tuna salad for sandwiches. It’s a great, healthier alternative to mayonnaise, and will taste just as good.
A HEALTHY ACCIDENT
Its name comes from the Turkish word, yogurt, or yoğurmak, which means “to knead” or “to be curdled, or coagulated.” Its origins most likely came spontaneously and unintentionally, with milk that had come into contact with plants or bacteria. Its geographical roots are unknown, although it’s mostly believed to have come from Mesopotamia in 5000BC.
Immediately store your yogurt in the back portion of the fridge, never the door, at 4°C or below. Once out of the fridge, do consume it immediately! Do not leave yogurt at room temperature for more than 2 hours. When stored properly, the shelf-life of yogurt is seven to 14 days.
