PREPARATION AND PAIRINGS

Enjoy the Finger Fuet by Can Duran as appetizer or tapas, with some choice cheeses and breads. It’s also great for pica-pica, or as an on-the-go snack. Pair with a Spanish red wine.

THE IDEAL CONDITIONS

Can Duran was founded in 1946, in Osona, Catalonia in Spain. It began in a pork butchery, and through the years had established itself with its high-quality artisanal products, gaining popularity everywhere.

The company itself is found in a biosphere reserve—the Montseny Natural Park. Osona has the ideal atmosphere and weather conditions for making cured sausages, particularly the “Llonganissa de Vic,” the traditional dry-cured Vic (capital of Osona) sausage that has a PGI (Protected Geographical Indication) seal from the European Union.

Storage Instructions

This type of sausage may be stored for up to 6 weeks (if whole) in your pantry and indefinitely in the refrigerator (whole or in vacuum-packed slices). After opening, they should be used within 3 weeks.
