The Arnaud Lambert Clos Mazurique is made with 100% Cabernet Franc grapes taken from 40-year-old vines, vinified in stainless steel and concrete vats. This smooth red wine has an ABV of 13.5%, and is expressive and perfumed, with spicy aromas of green and black pepper. On the palate, it is light, fresh, and energetic, with notes of plum, herb, and chives.
Pair the Arnaud Lambert Clos Mazurique with Parmesan cheese, cold cuts, and beef carpaccio. It’s also great with poached turbot with butter, or a roast pork or duck.
Yves Lambert created Domaine de Saint-Just at the age of 47, when he decided to return to his roots, to Saumur. That was 1996, and his son, Arnaud, joined him in 2005. But in 2011, Yves Lambert succumbed to a quick and aggressive cancer; it was a shock to everyone. So Arnaud took on the reins of the domaine himself, merging with the historic Saumur estate, Château de Brézé, in 2017. This merger resulted in Domaine Arnaud Lambert—new in name, but not in experience. They eventually adopted a biodynamic approach to their wines, creating greater understanding and providing more care and appreciation to their terroirs. The Lamberts were not born vignerons, and perhaps this is their advantage. Unencumbered of traditional restrictions, they are able to experiment and appreciate their work and their wines more freely.
Store unopened red wines in a cool, dry, and dark place safe from constant vibration. Keep your bottle horizontal in a wine rack or cellar to retain the moistness of the cork. The ideal temperature for storage is between 16 to 18°C. Once opened, a bottle will be good for 3 to 5 days standing upright in the refrigerator.
