A rare and prized salt, it is said that Alexan¬≠der the Great was the first to bring this pre¬≠cious Kash¬≠mir salt to Europe, around 350 years BC. A beau¬≠ti¬≠ful bot¬≠tle of dia¬≠mond-shaped salt crys¬≠tals with a col¬≠ored touch of rose pink.


Extract¬≠ed by hand deep in the heart of the Himalayan Moun¬≠tains, Terre Exo¬≠tique Himalayan Dia¬≠mond Pink Salt con¬≠tains over 84 min¬≠er¬≠als and trace ele¬≠ments includ¬≠ing iron oxide which gives it its dis¬≠tinct¬≠ly dusty pink color.

Known for its puri­ty and strik­ing­ly beau­ti­ful col­or, these dia­mond salt crys­tals are not har­vest­ed from today’s oceans that con­tain numer­ous pol­lu­tants. Rather, these gems are fos­silized crys­tals of sea salt, bathed by the ancient pri­mal seas mil­lions of years ago before being dis­cov­ered in the salt mines of Khwara.

Beau¬≠ti¬≠ful¬≠ly hued salt crys¬≠tals are shaped like dia¬≠mond gems, this salt is slight¬≠ly less salty and con¬≠tains less mois¬≠ture than fleur de sel. On the palate, it is soft and gen¬≠tle, with a touch of lin¬≠ger¬≠ing sweet¬≠ness and devoid of any harsh or bit¬≠ter tastes.
