Maison Loste Saucisson Sec Le Montagnard
Seasoned to Perfection
A Saucisson is a dry cured sausage seasoned in many old traditional ways in France, and it adds that extra defining flavor to your every dish.
Tasting Notes from the Curator
This specialty sausage made at 700m altitude has a delicious smoked taste and an original form of ingot . The sausage is dried on a flat rack, revealing fine strilles on the underside of the ingot. Made up of a combination of lean meat and fat, a Saucisson is seasoned with various spices and sugar and smoked for it to develop a distinct flavor.
Since it its dry, it has good storage characteristics and is a versatile addition to various dishes. It can be served in your cold cut platter matched with your favorite cheese or add it as topping to your pasta.
When pairing with wine, this goes well with a glass of Pinot Noir. Choose from our selection of either Les Volets Pinot Noir] or De Loach Maboroshi Pinot Noir
