Domaine Benjamin Leroux’s Bourgogne Rouge is a Burgundy wine made with Pinot Noir grapes, aged in foudres or barrels. It exudes an elegant red-purple color, and has an ABV of 13%. A superb and easy to drink red wine, it has dark red fruit notes on the nose. deep and generous, it has palate notes of dark cherry, mocha, and spicy, dark chocolate at the end.
Pair the Benjamin Leroux Bourgogne Rouge with generous meats like a steak, lamb chops, veal, or any meat-based pastas. It’s also great with fatty fish like tuna, and hearty stews.
Benjamin Leroux is a native of Burgundy, and is a winemaking prodigy. He attended Lycée Viticole, a prominent wine school in Beaune, at only 13 years old. By the age of 26, he was general manager and winemaker of Domaine du Comte Armand. He launched his eponymous label in 2007, to wide critical acclaim. He has risen through the ranks of Burgundy producers at a spectacular rate, thanks to his modern winemaking approach that he combines with respect to tradition and his deep knowledge of viticulture. This young vigneron has a bright future ahead of him, one that the winemaking world is eager to see.
Store unopened red wines in a cool, dry, and dark place safe from constant vibration. Keep your bottle horizontal in a wine rack or cellar to retain the moistness of the cork. The ideal temperature for storage is between 16 to 18°C. Once opened, a bottle will be good for 3 to 5 days standing upright in the refrigerator.
