Partially rehydrated, these soft dried apricots from France retain their vibrant color and wonderful juiciness. They have a velvety feel, soft, with an almost gummy candy texture. They have a full flavor, retaining their natural sweetness with no added sugars. These apricots are pitted, sliced and sun-dried, making them perfect for snacking.

PREPARATION AND PAIRINGS

These soft dried apricots are a great sweet snack to satisfy your cravings. Pair them with cheese and crackers for appetizers, or have them as an easy sweet bite at the end of a meal. You can also dice them up into smaller pieces, and top them onto your ice creams, or as an ingredient in your trail mix.

FROM ARMENIA TO VERSAILLES

Apricot trees found their way to France via the Silk Road, journeying from Armenia to China, before finding themselves in the Gardens of Versailles, where Louis XIV had them planted during his reign. It was also this time when the French discovered its fruit, but it was only in the next century that cultivation really took off.

Storage Instructions

Apricots continue to ripen after picking. They should be stored at room temperature, away from sunlight and heat until they give softly to the touch and have a sweet aroma.

Once ripe, refrigerate apricots as necessary to prevent spoiling, but cold temperatures may change their texture and taste.
