Tasting Notes from The Curator
Gives off a fruity and herbaceous aroma and taste. A black Darjeeling Tea with oil of bergamot, Mediterranean Eucalyptus, Japanese Shiso leaves and orange blossoms.
1 sachet of the Gryphon Contessa Gray Tea needs 200ml of water. Before serving, make sure it is steeped in more than 100°C for at least 3 – 4 mins.
Champagne of Teas
With this variant having Darjeeling Tea as it’s main base, it is important to note that Darjeeling is often called the “Champagne of Teas”. It’s musky-sweet tasting notes are similar to muscat wine. Delicate, fruity and further amplified by the addition of Mediterranean Eucalyptus, hints of orange and the magical, antibacterial and health-boosting qualities of Japanese Shiso.
