But­tery sweet with a sharp salty kick, Mer­ry Moo’s Sea Salt Caramel com­bines the high­est qual­i­ty local sea salt with Lagu­na fresh milk for an utter­ly smooth, creamy taste. 


But­ter notes flood the mouth from the very first bite, fol­lowed by a fine, salty kick that dis­si­pates on the palate. Mer­ry Moo part­ners with Lagu­na farm­ers for access to free-range cows that pro­duce the thick­est, creami­est milk. The result? A won­der­ful­ly full-fla­vored ice cream base ready for mix­ing with the rich­est caramel and sharpest sea salt that can be found on Philip­pine shores. 


A lit­tle but­ter, a lit­tle salt, this fla­vor has made itself at home in ice cream chillers every­where. Mer­ry Moo’s ver­sion, made with non-UHT dairy, main­tains a lev­el of extra creami­ness that blends per­fect­ly with the salt­ed caramel fla­vor. It’s a sim­ple but sat­is­fy­ing dessert all on its own. A light­ly sweet wafer bis­cuit or three on the side does make for a love­ly tex­ture con­trast. This delight­ful two-punch of fla­vors came to us as it is today in stages. The French choco­lati­er Hen­ri Le Roux opened his first shop in the 1960s. He chose Brit­tany, France for its loca­tion, a place known for its salt­ed but­ter. In an attempt to inte­grate the region’s best-known ingre­di­ent, he cre­at­ed salt­ed but­ter caramel with the aid of sug­ar and crushed nuts. He went on to win the award Best Sweet in France by the Salon inter­na­tion­al de la con­fis­erie in Paris in 1980. This drew the atten­tion of renowned pâtissier Pierre Her­mé, who used Le Roux’s inno­va­tion to cre­ate the salt­ed caramel mac­aron. From there, the fla­vor made its way across the world, going from a cult trend to a cement­ed classic

Storage Instructions

Store ice cream in the main part of the freez­er. Do not store ice cream in the freez­er door, where ice cream can be sub­ject to more fluc­tu­at­ing tem­per­a­tures since the door is repeat­ed­ly open and shut. Keep the ice cream con­tain­er lid tight­ly closed when stor­ing in the freez­er to reduce the for­ma­tion of ice crystals.
