Olive Oil Cakes by Gourmigz comes in three variants, all made with the best quality olive oil, and fresh fruit. These cakes have a beautiful balance in terms of soak, where it is not greasy, but just brilliantly moist. And the olive oil, despite it having such a distinct flavor, is wonderfully subtle in these cakes. They are not overly sweet, but sweet enough for dessert.
- Special Catina Loaf with Sicilian Blood Oranges – A Bow Tie Duck exclusive! This loaf has a complex citrus flavor. It’s tangy and floral, and subtly sweet, utilizing all the wonderful flavors of our own Sicilian Blood Oranges.
- Seville Loaf – this loaf will transport you to the Mediterranean, with its use of Spanish olive oil and fresh oranges. The beautiful citrussy flavor of the oranges shines so brightly in this loaf.
- Positano Loaf – A bite of this olive oil lemon cake will have you imagining yourself walking along the sunny streets of the Amalfi Coast. It’s bright in flavor, with the lemon zesty and subtly sweet. It’s also covered in a luscious blanket of lemon cream icing. Beautifully light and delicious.

These Olive Oil Cakes by Gourmigz are not overly sweet, making them the perfect dessert to an elaborate and special dinner, where rich food is served. Pair them with a Merlot, and you have yourself the best meal-ender.
Of course, you don’t have to wait for a nice dinner with all your friends to enjoy these cakes. Have them for merienda, with a nice cup of tea (we have a great selection here. It’s absolutely perfect for when you’re wanting something sweet but not cloying. This’ll definitely hit the spot.

Miguel David—or Migz, as he is lovingly called, picked up baking during the pandemic, as most did. But he stood out. He ventured into olive oil cakes, something he had never done or even had before. Without knowing how it would turn out, he dove headfirst, and found himself swimming in success.
Gourmigz At Home is his online business that was born because he loved to make food, and he loved feeding people. He wanted his food in people’s bellies, and in their hearts. His kitchen, after all, is filled with love, using only the freshest ingredients, and supporting local businesses and markets.
Keep olive oil cakes in an airtight container, either at room temperature or in the refrigerator. It will last for about 7 days at room temperature, and around 16 days in the refrigerator.
