Tasting Notes from the Curator
Griffo Distillery assures that they source only the finest botanicals for the Scott Street Gin. The Califonia-grown junipers are delicious and grown in the wild. Meyer lemons are balanced with the warmth of grains of paradise and the complexity of coriander. It boasts a plenitude of deliciously spicy notes. The addition of Russian River Valley water shapes the gin into a supple and bright pour in every bottle.
Griffo Scott Street Gin is made in the traditional London dry style of juniper forward flavor that is so often prized by cocktail enthusiasts. Enjoy this gin as an essential to elevate your favorite cocktail drink or experience its raw pleasantness by drinking it over ice. Soft on the palate with a spicy finish, this is one gin you can wave the vermouth over and strain into your martini glass. They make gin the way they like it, we think you’ll like it too!
Distilled London Style
Distilled in the London Style, Griffo Scott Street Gin is mixed with the perfect balance of all-natural botanicals. It is distilled 5 times on a single run in custom, American-made, Vendome copper pot stills to ensure a clean and pure presentation in every drop. This process takes intensive preparation and attention to detail. Given the meticulousness that Griffo Distillery puts into their work, it is not a surprise that their home gin has bagged awards such as that of the 2016 Gold Medal in San Francisco World Spirits Competition.
Store your bottle of gin upright in a cool, dark place, ideally between 13 and 16°C. Higher temperatures will affect its flavor and alter its taste. If you prefer to drink your gin cold all the time, you may keep it in the freezer, as its ABV percentage prevents it from freezing. Unopened bottles can last for an indefinite amount of time, but the closer you get to the bottom third of the bottle, please consume quickly to prevent oxidation and taste alteration.
