Our La Confiteria Delaviuda Bombones comes in two mouthwatering flavors. Both are smooth, finely crafted chocolates, made with traditional and closely guarded recipes that yield a smooth, silky treat.

  • 70% Dark Chocolate – These bombones are filled with creamy 70% chocolate. It’s absolutely perfect for lovers of pure chocolate and dark chocolate.
  • Chocolate con Leche – Delicious chocolate balls filled with the creamiest milk chocolate—rich and luscious!

PREPARATION AND PAIRINGS

The La Confiteria Delaviuda Bombones are wonderful to gift to your chocolate-loving loved ones. They’re perfect for special occasions, be it Mother’s Day, Valentine’s Day, anniversaries, or milestone birthdays.

Of course, these chocolate balls are also perfectly delicious to enjoy on any other day. Pair the 70% Dark Chocolate with Port, Merlot, or a hefty whiskey. The Chocolate con Leche pairs beautifully with Zinfandel and Merlot, or for a non-alcoholic turn: black tea.

A WIDOW’S LEGACY

Manuel Lopez and Maria Rojas opened their small confectionary in the province of Toledo in Spain in 1927. Don Manuel grew up making sweets, a family tradition, and so he’s known the trade all his life.

But just as it was reaching success, tragedy struck. Don Manuel passed away in 1939, leaving behind Maria, their two children, and a rising family business. But Maria was not deterred, and continued on, moving the confectionary onwards and upwards to increasing popularity.

“Delaviuda,” from “de la viuda,” or “of the widow,” continues on the family institution of artisan production, using traditional recipes, and keeping the quality as superior as they always have. Its humble beginnings, and its dedication to the craft of confectionary keeps La Confiteria Delaviuda at the top of the game.

Storage Instructions

Store your chocolates in a cool, dark place, ideally between 18 to 24°C. You can use the refrigerator, but place the chocolate in an airtight container to keep the moisture and humidity out—and retain its full range of flavors, of course!
