Kurimu Chai Latte
The coziest ice cream
Chai is an iconic flavor, and Kurīmu has managed to turn it into a brilliant ice cream. Aromatic and spicy, but with a great smooth and balanced texture, it might just become your new favorite.
TASTING NOTES FROM THE CURATOR
The Kurīmu Chai Latte ice cream is a collaboration with Jacob’s Well Chai, and each scoop will remind you of sitting in coffee shops, surrounded by relaxing music, and sipping a cozy cup of chai.
This ice cream is made with a combination of Masala Chai (Indian spiced tea), and Mugicha (Japanese barley tea). It’s very aromatic, with notes of cardamom, star anise, and cinnamon shining through. It’s warm and spiced in flavor, and its texture is smooth, silky, and creamy. It’s a beautiful balance of aromas and flavors, and will have you eating out of the tub.
PREPARATION AND PAIRINGS
The Kurīmu Chai Latte ice cream can be enjoyed on its own. You can drizzle it with caramel syrup for a little extra sweetness. Pair it with some tea, or enjoy a scoop of it on a slice of banana bourbon cake.
SIMPLE THINGS WITH GREAT QUALITY
Kurīmu only uses the best ingredients, and each tub of ice cream is carefully crafted. They toast and hand-pound black sesame seeds for their Black Sesame Ice Cream, and meticulously cook caramel and soy sauce together for their Shoyu Caramel. It’s a company that prides itself in the quality and care that they put into each pint. Doing simple things well is a motto they adapted from Japanese culture, one that seeps into their work, creating incredible flavors that will keep you wanting more.
Kurīmu Ice Cream is freshly churned daily, and contains no preservatives. Keep it fresh by storing it at the back of your freezer (where it is coldest), and making sure the lid is tightly shut, to prevent moisture and other contaminants from getting in. It is best consumed within 2-3 months.
