Merry Moo – Orange Chocolate
Lush, Intense, and Fruity
From the heart of Laguna comes this sinfully dark and zesty orange chocolate ice cream, churned fresh every week.
TASTING NOTES FROM THE CURATOR
Merry Moo has an impressive range of chocolate ice creams, and this one fits in just perfectly. This is their Dark Tsokolate flavor enhanced with the zesty, citric cut of orange. It’s the magic of contrasting flavors: rich intensity and fresh fruitiness. Made from non-UHT milk, this ice cream is incredibly rich and creamy, its flavors a wake-up call on their own, almost like a refreshing cup of coffee.
PREPARATION OR PAIRINGS
Already a famed flavor combination, when not eaten on its own, this ice cream goes well with lighter-flavored dessert treats. A vanilla pound cake or a creamy custard go marvelously with this treat, as do chopped walnuts and almonds. For sundae pairings, go ahead and have a scoop of citrusy sorbet right along this treat for a lovely contrast that you won’t soon forget!
AN EXOTIC MATCH
The Old-World delicacies of chocolate and orange are a long-standing combination. In Spain, the monarch and nobles would sweeten cacao powder for their hot chocolate with sugar and spices, then mix this combination with orange flower water. In the early 2003s, this well-loved flavor was popularized by Lindt, and of course, other chocolate and confection companies followed suit.

Store ice cream in the main part of the freezer. Do not store ice cream in the freezer door, where ice cream can be subject to more fluctuating temperatures since the door is repeatedly open and shut. Keep the ice cream container lid tightly closed when storing in the freezer to reduce the formation of ice crystals.
