Tasting Notes Of The Curator
The Green Salanova Frisée Lettuce is a visual and culinary standout. Its finely curled, lace-like leaves create a striking, frilly crown that instantly elevates any plate. The flavor is lively—crisp and slightly peppery, with a gentle bitterness that awakens the palate and balances richer ingredients. This complexity makes it a favorite for chefs seeking contrast in both flavor and texture. The inner leaves are tender and pale, offering a subtle sweetness, while the outer leaves bring a more pronounced, refreshing crunch. Cultivated in Hijo Fresh’s precision-controlled greenhouses, each head of frisée receives balanced sunlight, water, and nutrients to ensure uniform quality all year. The result is a consistently beautiful and flavorful lettuce that’s as much a feast for the eyes as it is for the taste buds.
