There’s something deeply nourishing about a scone made with real care — and even more so when that care is paired with one of the world’s most treasured butters. Madge’s Échiré Butter Scones are just that: tender, golden, and quietly decadent. Each batch is lovingly handmade using Échiré Doux — the same French butter served in the world’s finest restaurants, known for its cultured richness and delicate salinity. The flavor is refined but never overwhelming, allowing the butter to shine through the soft, crumbly texture with a gentle, milky sweetness. There’s no need for jam, no need for cream. Warmed gently, they melt in the mouth and soothe the senses. This is a scone meant to feel like home — only now, home comes with the taste of French prestige.

Échiré butter is no ordinary butter. Protected by A.O.P. status and made using traditional methods in the village of Échiré since 1894, it has long been prized by French pâtissiers, Michelin-star chefs, and discerning home cooks. At The Bow Tie Duck, Échiré has remained one of our most beloved staples — a symbol of craft, tradition, and flavor.
Madge, known across Manila for her small-batch, soul-soothing bakes, brings something tender and timeless to every bite. When she partnered with The Bow Tie Duck, it was only natural to marry her signature scone recipe with our most treasured butter. The result? A collection of Échiré Scones — available in both full-sized and mini formats — that blend rustic comfort with refined indulgence.
This isn’t just a baked good — it’s a shared moment between heritage and home.
For your Fresh Scones:
The Bow Tie Duck x Madge Echire Butter Scones are baked fresh on the morning of your scheduled delivery and sent out at peak softness — tender, crumbly, and golden-topped. They arrive at room temperature and are ready to serve or store.
Refrigerate: Keep in their packing or transfer to an airtight container. Best enjoyed within 2–3 days from the date of arrival.
Freeze: If not enjoying right away, place them in the freezer as soon as possible. They’re suitable for freezing for up to 2 months, but we recommend freezing within 24 hours of arrival to lock in their delicate texture.
To serve, you may enjoy them as-is or warm gently in the oven or toaster oven for 5–7 minutes at 160°C (320°F) to bring back their just-baked charm. Best served with butter, jam, clotted cream — or all of the above.
For your Frozen Scones:
The Bow Tie Duck x Madge Echire Butter Scones are frozen on the same day they’re baked to preserve their freshly-baked goodness. Here’s how to bring them back to life:
Oven Method (Recommended): Preheat your oven to 160°C (320°F). Place frozen scones on a baking tray and heat for 10–12 minutes until warm and lightly crisp on the outside. Let cool slightly before serving.
Toaster Oven Method: Place a frozen scone on a tray or foil and heat at 160°C (320°F) for 8–10 minutes.
Microwave Method: Wrap a single frozen scone in a paper towel and microwave on medium for 30–45 seconds. Note: This softens the scone but won’t give a crisp top. You may finish with a quick toast if desired.
Room Temperature Thaw (Cold Option): Some people like their scones cold. To achieve this, thaw overnight in the fridge. Once thawed, they’re ready to eat. For best texture, thaw uncovered or loosely wrapped to avoid moisture buildup.
