A french medley

NOTES FROM THE CURATOR
Joseph Drouhin Rully Rouge 2018 Macerated and vinified in controlled temperatures for two to three weeks, then aged in French oak barrels for 12 to 15 months, the Joseph Drouhin Rully Rouge is an aromatically expressive wine. It has a dark plum-red color, and is beautifully structured and well-balanced.
It’s refined on the nose, with notes of raspberry, gooseberry, red currant, and blackberry. With age, these aromas evolve to that of syrup and tobacco, with earthy notes. Its fresh, velvety texture is welcome and pleasing on the palate, with flavor notes of strawberry, fresh red fruit, and cherry. It’s an easy to drink red, one that will last a whole meal.
Castaing Duck Rillettes Barquette Rillettes refers to a special kind of preparation of meat that makes in similar to a pâté. In this case, duck meat, often coming from legs or wings, are dry-brined and braised in a special stock then shredded and flavored further with spices. The result is a delicious meat spread that can work easily with bread and a variety of hors d’oeuvres.
The Castaing Duck Rillettes is made exclusively from duck meat in confit, without any pork or preservatives.
