TASTING NOTES FROM THE CURATOR

The Mamma Lucia is a fragrant blend of 60% Robusta beans, and 40% Arabica beans. It full-bodied and dark, with a high caffeine level. It gives off refined roasted flavor notes, with hints of sweetness, and a chocolate aroma.

PREPARATION AND PAIRINGS

This is a perfect morning cup, and works brilliantly with milky coffees like lattes and cappuccinos. Have it with some biscotti or cookies for a snack or dessert.

QUALITY AND INNOVATION

Lucaffe was founded by Gian Luca Venturelli, and began its life as a small artisan coffee roaster in 1996, on the shores of Lake Garda. It grew rapidly, and became a significant coffee supplier in Italy, and even further expansion brought its headquarters to Carpenedolo (Brescia) in 2004. They can now be found in over 50 countries, including coffee shops and cafes under the Lucaffe name. They also specialize in the innovative packaging of coffee and espresso in paper pods, which are 100% environment-friendly, sustainable, and compostable.

Storage Instructions

Store your coffee in an opaque, odor-free, airtight container in a dry, dark place at a cool room temperature. It’s best to consume coffee grounds within two weeks. Freshly roasted whole beans retain their freshness for up to one month.
