Fentimans Connoisseurs Tonic Water 24pc Case
Versatile and Delicate
Fentimans Connoisseurs Tonic Water offers a delicate flavour profile that enhances and amplifies the beautiful botanicals of premium spirits, letting the spirit be the hero.
Tasting Notes from the Curator
Fentimans Connoisseurs Tonic Water has the exact same botanical line up as the Premium Indian Tonic. Made of juniper, kaffir lime leaves, lemongrass and an addition of cinchona bark. What makes this differ from the latter is a notably softer nose to the tonic. It is less acerbic (sour or bitter) and brings a fuller, more rounded citrus flavor.
The finish is less dry and more approachable on its own.
Because of the flexibility of this drink, the Fentimans Connoisseurs Tonic Water makes it easier to pair with any gin. The right mix of this tonic water has allowed the gin or partner spirit of choice to shine through.
This tonic can be paired with some Bombay Sapphire Gin and garnished with a lemon and mint sprig to make what is called the Connoisseurs Choice. If you’re the type to satisfy a sweet tooth, you can opt for a G&T with citrus lemon flavors. Add lemon drizzle gin like Sipssmith and garnish with lemon slices.
Family Owned Since 1905
In 1905, Thomas Fentiman, an iron puddler from Cleckheaton, England was approached by a fellow tradesman for a loan. A deal was struck and a recipe for botanically brewed ginger beer was provided as security. The loan was never repaid so Thomas became the owner of the unique recipe.
What began for the family as a business of producing botanically brewed ginger beer became an empire 100 years later. To adapt to the demands of an ever changing world, Fentimans has been producing a variety of drinks including their famed tonic water lineup. Currently the business is still in the Fentimans family and is owned by the Eldon, the Great Grandson of Thomas Fentiman.
Though they have stayed loyal to tradition, there is one thing that has not changed: the superior quality, craftsmanship and unsurpassed flavour of every drink.
